Prominent resident was Thakur Dwarika Prasad Singh, landlord and IAS retired from being District Magistrate and Director of Land Consolidation ( UP). He build a Durga Mandir in 1948 along with a Pokhara, school, tube well, Dharmsala etc for the village community. He was survived by 4 sons and 2 daughters. His second son, Late Surendra Prataps daughters: Sunita and Suman Singh financial contributed along with another cousin Nilima Sabharwal to renovate the Durga Mandir to its present state in 2025-26.
